tracking down el frijolero (nee michael brown) for an interview to mark the release of this record proved harder than initially anticipated. despite enjoying world-wide success throughout the late 90’s and early 2000s - as well as a whole slew of critically acclaimed releases – the us born producer has faded into relative obscurity after joining a religious cult in the secluded countryside of north rhine-westphalia, germany. his last confirmed sighting was from a friend six years ago, who told us that brown had left the cult after filing for insolvency. these previously unreleased remixes were found in a box of possessions in a friend’s basement. they encapsulate the unrivaled talent and technical mastery of a man whose musical career and financial euphoria came to an abrupt end. 200 copies - hand stamped

gutts are a jaded wrestling double act that were much celebrated in the golden era of uk wrestling in the 1980s. after a slow-decline into inactivity and relative obesity they decided to make a comeback in 2013 as an electronic music band called gutts. both neil landstrumm and alan hostage have recently reached peak-fitness through circuit training and eating salad for dinner, toning up for this new heavy-hitting vinyl release on glasgows horror boogie. both were last seen, exiting landstrumms analogue graveyard shouting *not the ears, not the ears* and *i demand to be treated like a sultan*. no further details were available at this time.

the mad aussies at haul music have changed things up a lot since the inception of their digital imprint nearly 5 years ago. in what might be described as a backwards move made by label-men who have simply lost their edge, they began releasing on vinyl only. first with a limited run of ornately illustrated portraits of the label owners, and now they are set to present a vinyl-only release from a cast of relative-unknowns.
